Documentary Film

The 20-min video film Peter Kien and the Gardener Death. Directing and script: Elena Makarova; editing: Haim Kuchuk.

The film will cover the life of Franz Peter Kien. We plan to use archival materials such as family photographs, letters, his own texts and memoirs of his friends and relatives, newsreels from the 1920’s –30’s, footage from the Nazi propaganda films, etc. The film will be accompanied by music written by the ghetto composers.

The film will be shown at the exhibit. A copy of the film on a CD-ROM will be offered together with the catalogue.
